The AFC Fylde Community Foundation has a fun-filled festive season lined up,  sure to put smiles on children’s faces.

The Foundation will be holding Christmas Sports Camps at The Willows RC Primary School in Kirkham, where children will enjoy a range of sports including football, dodgeball, cricket, netball, handball, athletics and lots more.

The sessions will run from 9am to 4pm between Monday 21 December and Wednesday 23 December. They will then resume after Christmas, at the same times, between Monday 28 December and Thursday 31 December. The cost is £12 for any individual day and just £65 for all seven days.

Tom Hutton, director of community development at the AFC Fylde Community Foundation, said: “Christmas is a wonderful time of year to spend quality time together as a family, but it can be tricky to keep children and young people occupied through the long holidays.

“Our sports camp will be a place where young people can meet others their age, stay active and make a positive impact during the Christmas holidays. Taking part in fun sports is a great way to balance out having eaten lots of turkey and advent chocolates!

“We’re hoping to see lots of young people at these sessions and it’s sure to be a great atmosphere for everyone.”
