While Santa sleeps, it’s work as usual for AFC Fylde Community Foundation!

Santa might be taking a much needed rest following his frenzied festive schedule, but there’s no wind-down time for the hard-working team at the Foundation.

It will be business as usual on December 27th with the committed team once again out delivering programmes across the community.

The outreach programme will see the Foundation visiting different locations, across the Fylde Coast and further afield, providing free sports and activities sessions for local children and teenagers.

The popular outreach programme runs throughout the entire year, with daytime and evening sessions taking place during term time as well as in school holidays.

The Foundation will be running the Christmas outreach sessions during the following dates and times:

27th December:
10:00 – 12:00 – Hope Street Park
13:00 – 15:00 – Hove Road Park

28th December:
10:00 – 12:00 – Kirkham Memorial Park
13:00 – 15:00 – Ashton Gardens St Anne’s

30th December:
10:00- 12:00 – Brides Playing Field
13:00 – 15:00 – Park View Lytham

Foundation Sports Coach Rob Hutton is a great believer in the benefits of the outreach project. He said: “The programme is brilliant, giving children and teenagers a chance to get involved in lots of sports and activities completely free of charge. Instead of being sat at home bored, they can be out meeting friends and taking part in sessions that are not only great fun, but healthy too.

“The sessions are delivered at local community amenities such as parks and playing fields which means they are easily accessible by everyone. The programme runs all year round and Christmas is no exception here at the Foundation!”
