Over the past three months, The AFC Fylde Community Foundation have been working tirelessly with Kirkham Town Council, creating and sourcing partnership funding to deliver a comprehensive twelve month programme, which will see young people between the ages of 12-18 taking part in a range of diverse and stimulating multi sports activities, based at Kirkham Memorial Park.

The AFC Fylde Community Foundation are committed to engaging local communities in all of our community based activities, as The Foundation and its staff believe strongly in delivering locally driven programmes, provides local communities with the best possible outcomes. Working in partnership with Kirkham Town Council and Lancashire Police, The AFC Fylde Community Foundation identified a concerning trend, which saw young people, congregating on Kirkham Memorial Park with not a great deal of structured activities to take part in. Identifying this need locally in partnership with Kirkham Town Council, The AFC Fylde Community Foundation build a participant led external funding bid, which proposed free community sports activities being delivered on Tuesday and Friday evenings between 18:00-20:00.

Given the strength of the partner organisation funding bid, The Big Lottery have recently awarded the partnership £10,000.00 external funding, to deliver free community sports activities at Kirkham Memorial Parks Multi Use Games Area on the following times and days;

Tuesday evening 18:00-20:00

Friday evening 18:00-20:00

Sessions will run for 12 months in total, and will provide young people between the ages of 12-18 with the opportunity to take part in a range of diverse mutli sports activities such as, Football, Dodgeball and Netball.
