No less than SEVEN Coasters youngsters have been selected for Thursday’s County Youth friendly against Manchester FA.

Development Squad members Corey Bent, James Corbett, Ellis Hayes, Jake Higham, Dean Ing, Regan Linney and Jack Williams have been selected for the successful county side who are the holders of the FA County Youth Cup after winning it last season with a last-gasp, extra time winner from our very own Cory Bent over Suffolk FA in April.

That successful Lancashire side also featured current First Team members Jake Gregory and Ryan Charnley last season as well as Joey Mullen, who is currently out on loan at Bamber Bridge, among others throughout last season’s campaign and this season seen The Coasters make up the crux of this year’s side.

The county side will begin the defence of their title on 18 October away to North Riding FA in the Second Round of the competition where they will be aiming to reach a second successive Final on 11 April.
