AFC Fylde Community Foundation has strengthened its team by appointing a full-time Recruitment and Partnership Manager.

The exciting new position, which has been filled by Lloyd Paton, has been made possible due to the continued partnership work with Cuadrilla and Spirit Energy.

The role will see Lloyd working in the heart of Fylde, extending the Foundation’s mission to support more people within the local community.

Lloyd’s responsibilities will include:

  • Engaging with the community to recruit adults from challenging backgrounds into training employment and accreditation programmes
  • Involving more young people in physically and mentally stimulating projects such as sport, recreation and outreach programmes
  • Encouraging young people aged between 14-18 to seize a range of stimulating educational opportunities within the Fylde community
  • Supporting young people and adults to transition into additional support services

Lloyd will be working with more than 1,000 Fylde residents in the next year, engaging with and promoting involvement in a wide and diverse range of activities in the heart of the local community.

It’s a role that would not be possible without support and funding from Cuadrilla and Spirit Energy, something Foundation Director Tom Hutton is very appreciative of.

He said: “I am incredibly pleased to be able to welcome Lloyd to the team. He will play a very important role in helping us to take the Foundation to the next level.

“It is the first time the Community Foundation has had a Recruitment and Partnership Manager, and we have only been able to achieve this pivotal milestone because of the strength of our partnership work.”

Lloyd is understandably excited for his new role within the Community Foundation and said: “I’ve been with the Foundation on a casual basis for a number of months now. To be offered this new full-time role within the organisation and have the opportunity to help take the Foundation to greater heights is something I’m incredibly excited to do and I can’t wait to get stuck in!”

Francis Egan, CEO of Cuadrilla, said: “We are delighted to see the appointment of Lloyd Paton to this new position, which will significantly enhance the work of the Foundation in our local community.

“Cuadrilla made a commitment to share the benefits of our work with local people by sponsoring educational and sporting projects in the local area and this announcement demonstrates that we are delivering.”
