AFC Fylde Community Foundation have officially begun their popular ‘Summer Activity Camp’.

Supported by the Frank Whittle Partnership (FWP) Group, the camps will run throughout the entire school summer holidays.

In just the first week of operation this year, the Foundation have seen record-breaking numbers with more than 70 children attending at one site for the extensive list of activities.

This week at the Summer Activity Camp, the children have been joining in with craft sessions, sports, team games including football and performing arts.

Each week, the Foundation team have planned a ‘Special Activity Wednesday’, which means an additional surprise event. The first – a bouncy castle – not surprisingly proved a huge success with the youngsters.

The camp still has availability for upcoming weeks in the summer holidays and urges anyone who may be interested to pre-book their space to avoid disappointment.

Community Development Manager at the Foundation, Matt Agnew is proud of the journey the Foundation’s camps have been through.

He said: “As a team we spend a lot of time and effort discussing and planning how we can constantly improve our half-term camps. We take a great deal of pride in delivering a truly fantastic offer for the children to enjoy their time with us.

“School holidays are an incredibly special time for young ones. We want them to have fun and leave with special memories of the exciting activities they got involved in and the new friends they made during their time at our camps.

“That’s why we’re constantly looking to improve and provide a completely different experience for them with each school holiday!”
