A quick turnaround in fixtures sees the Coasters back in action, as Stockport County visit Mill Farm.

The Coasters look to gain an all important three points on Saturday after a Ryan Croasdale equaliser earned Jim Bentley’s side a huge point on the road against table toppers Barrow.

With games coming thick and fast, Bentley might feel obliged to ring the changes this Saturday – with Kurt Willoughby and Mark Yeates pushing for a return to the side.

The Opposition

Name: Stockport County

Form: WLWWW

Nickname: The Hatters

Ground: Edgeley Park

League Position: 7th

You could say that Stockport County have had an average season in the Vanarama National League, but in recent weeks they have really stepped their form up.

With the side winning four out of their last five, the Hatters have pushed themselves into a playoff spot.

Jim Gannon is in charge at Edgeley Park and has been at the club since 2016.

After winning the previous fixture between the two sides, he will be hoping to make it six points from six on Saturday.

The Hatters have also been full of goals recently – scoring an impressive 19 goals in their last five.

One To Watch

This week’s one to watch is midfielder, Elliot Osbourne.

Osbourne has been well involved in Stockport’s goal scoring exploits recently – netting a hat-trick in their previous outing against Halifax Town.

The 24-year-old signed for Stockport in November 2018, after an initial loan spell from Southport. That spell impressed manager Jim Gannon who signed him on a permanent deal.

During his career, Osbourne hasn’t racked up many appearances at previous employers which include the likes of Fleetwood Town, Tranmere Rovers and Bentley’s old side, Morecambe.

Despite that, Osbourne is enjoying his best spell in a Stockport shirt, being almost everpresent in the side since signing, contributing important along the way.

Head-to-Head

This will be the tenth meeting between the two sides this Saturday – with the Coasters just edging it 3-2 on wins.

There have also been four draws over the years between the Hatters and the Coasters.
