The Coasters haven’t taken any points since the first game of the season when they beat Brackley Town 4-0 and the two away games against Stalybridge and Lowestoft have proved to be tough for Fylde but neither result reflected either performance and we’ve been unlucky only to take three points out of the first nine.

We can hold our heads up high after the first three games of the Vanarama Conference North season. Convincingly beating Brackley on the opening day was a treat for all fellow Coasters while two consecutive defeats will only spur The Coasters on for further glory this weekend at home to Guiseley AFC.

Guiseley have been impressive so far this season, winning all three of their games so far without conceding and this adds to their impressive form last season which culminated in them getting to the play-off final, which unfortunately for them they lost, but they find themselves doing extremely well so far this campaign. Mark Bower, the Guiseley boss, will hope to go one step further come the end of the season in gaining promotion but we intend to stop them in their tracks on Saturday.

So far, they have beaten Leamington 1-0, Stockport County 3-0 and Worcester City 1-0. The Lions are top after three games of the season played so far and not many can argue that they deserve to be, but we are after stopping them on Saturday afternoon at KP, hopefully by adding another win to our collection.

One of their key players from last season, Michael Potts, is now with The Coasters this season and we’ve seen so far what a quality player he can be at this level with good performances in every game he’s played in so far.

The game is a 3 PM kick off at Kellamergh Park this Saturday and admissions if you don’t have a season ticket are £10 for adults with £7 concessions. Remember, all kids under the age of 16 can watch the match for free this season!

Hoping for the best.

Come on you Coasters!
