AFC Fylde have bolstered their defensive ranks with the signing of Blackpool youngster Macauley Wilson.

The 19-year-old full back joins on a youth loan until December 17th.

Formerly the youth team captain, Wilson signed his first professional deal with Blackpool in April. He earned rave reviews for the under-18s last season, bagging 12 goals primarily from right-back.

Wilson has been with Blackpool since the age of 15 after leaving Manchester United and can also be utilised in central midfield.

A first-half hat-trick from 16-year-old debutant Serhat Tasdemir guided AFC Fylde through to the third round of the Lancashire FA Challenge Trophy with a 6-2 victory over AFC Darwen on Tuesday night.

The youngster’s treble, coupled with a brace from Matt Blinkhorn and a freak goal from Richie Baker, put the Coasters six goals ahead, before Darwen netted a couple of second-half consolation strikes.

DEVELOPMENT SQUAD THRILLER

The Coasters development squad came out on top in a 4-3 thriller against Bamber Bridge at Kellamergh Park on Thursday evening.

Fylde were three goals up inside half an hour, however a superb comeback saw Bamber Bridge back on level terms by half-time. Morgan Smith completed his hat-trick 15 minutes from time to give the Coasters victory in the Lancashire Galaxy League.
