AFC Fylde is a forward-thinking National League club with an ambition to reach the Football League and are looking for a voluntary Programme Editor to assist the Media Department.

The Voluntary Programme Editor will be responsible for creating content fit for publication in the Club’s matchday programme. This post would be ideal for a retired Editor with a passion for football or a University undergraduate studying Journalism or Marketing.

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Create engaging and creative content for publication, including interviews with AFC Fylde staff: first-eam players and management; Academy, Womens, and members of the backroom staff.
  • Liaise with our Graphic Designers and Communications Executive to ensure the relevant artwork and photographs are included in the programme.
  • Research and gather information on AFC Fylde and other club’s history and current activities to include in the programme.
  • Ensure that the programme is completed, proof-read, and signed off by printing deadline.

 

Ideal Candidate

  • Creative and articulate writer with an eye for detail.
  • Ability to work to stringent deadlines.
  • Have a genuine interest in football at National League level.
  • Previous experience in a similar role would be highly advantageous.
  • Reliable with the ability to commit to working 2 days per week.

 

The successful candidate will receive two hospitality tickets for all home fixtures.
