The Coasters are back in National League North action this weekend for the first time in 2022, looking to kick their new year off in style when York City visit Mill Farm.

Last week’s Covid-19 outbreak in the Coasters squad meant our fixture against Chorley FC on the 2nd of January had to be postponed due to the very low numbers in Jim Bentley’s side.

However, all being well, a visit from York City to Mill Farm this weekend sees a return to pitch for Jim & the boys in what will be our first fixture of the new year.

York City come into the game having also had their previous fixture postponed after a Covid-19 outbreak in Bradford PA’s squad.

Despite that, the Minstermen have won their last two games, securing a 1-0 win over Alfreton Town in their last outing in the NLN and a 1-0 win against Matlock Town in the FA Trophy a couple of weeks before.

The Coasters, on the other hand, will be looking to get January off to a flyer after a busy December month returned four points from four games, though a good performance and last-minute Ben Tollitt strike away at Chester will see Bentley’s side looking to kick on and put a good run together in the second half of the season.

With the new year set to get started for the Coasters this coming Saturday, we can provide all the details you need ahead of the weekend.

North Stand – The Home End

Our Boxing Day local derby fixture against Chorley officially opened our new state-of-the-art North Stand, and it was great to see so many supporters on the terrace pushing the boys all the way to the final whistle.

The stand offers an experience like no other with entry from 12pm, a live DJ to enhance the matchday atmosphere and Carling starting from £2 a pint.

All season ticket holders can experience the new stand for the rest of the season by simply entering at turnstiles 7,8,9&10 from 12pm. All remaining matchday ticket holders can enter from 1pm, where Carling will increase to £3 a pint. The price will rise once more to £4 at 2pm – just an hour before kick-off. Food is also available.

A reminder that there will be no access to the East/West Stands once in the North or access to Bradleys Sports Bar at half-time.
