The AFC Fylde Community Foundation’s Easter Sports Camps, in partnership with Frank Whittle Partnerships Architecture, have once again been a roaring success.

Record numbers attended the ever-popular Camps and the youngsters enjoyed a wide range of activities including football, dodgeball and basketball as well as dance and athletics sessions, all run by qualified and experienced coaches.

The lucky youngsters were also treated to a special visit from AFC Fylde top scorer Danny Rowe.

Danny said: “I’ve attended several Sports Camps now and I’m seeing more and more AFC Fylde fans which is great. I was teaching the children the basics of shooting and passing and they were eager to learn.”

Community coach Michael Brown believes the Camps have been a great success: “There’s nothing more pleasing than seeing the children with big smiles on their faces. We run a wide range of activities and it’s nice to see children from different schools becoming friends through sport.”

Foundation Director Tom Hutton is delighted with the progression the Foundation has made over the last three years: “This is the third consecutive year we have had an Easter Sports Camps and the numbers are astounding. We’ve gone from having four or five children in 2013 to over 65 children this year. I would like to thank FWP Architecture for their continuous support which has allowed numerous young people come to our Camps.”
