AFC Fylde star Danny Rowe has enjoyed a clean sweep of the two major awards at the club this season.

The frontman, who has bagged an incredible 37 goals in all competitions, was presented with the Player of the Year trophy, as voted for by the supporters, by club president Dai Davis ahead of Saturday’s play-off tie against Harrogate Town.

Rowey’s thunderbolt freekick against Stockport County back in August was also named Goal of the Season, beating off competition from Brad Barnes and … himself!

The 27-year-old has been in tremendous form this season, helping the Coasters reach the National League North promotion final next weekend, and his 24 league goals earned him the joint top scorer award.

He is now third in the all time goalscorers list with 68 strikes – not bad considering this is just his second season as a Coaster!

Congratulations Rowey!
