AFC Fylde star Danny Rowe insists he is not setting any goal targets this season, however the Coasters top scorer does admit he is enjoying the form of his life.

Rowe has already bagged an incredible 19 goals in just 13 league games this term and looks set to comfortably surpass last season’s total of 24.

The in-demand front man refused to be drawn on an exact goal target but was keen to continue finding the back of the net on a regular basis.

“People keep asking about targets,” said Rowe. “But no I don’t set them.

“It’s hard to say how many you will get in a season because there are so many deciding factors and although I have set off well, anything can happen.

“Touch wood I don’t want an injury but they can happen so it would be unwise to tempt fate by setting targets.

“Yes, I would like to improve further still. To get over thirty in the league would be fantastic but at the moment all I want to focus on is carrying on scoring and getting us into a position where we can get promoted.

“My only real target is to score as many as possible.”

Rowe, who has scored 81 goals in two and a half seasons with the club, has caught the eye of several other clubs this campaign but insists he is going nowhere.

“I have done well since I have been at Fylde and now that I am in the side regularly, that has made a big difference to my confidence.

“I feel settled in lots of different ways. I am a local lad and things are going well. I really enjoy playing for the club and we are improving all the time.

“I feel confident, I feel like I can keep scoring and I just want to keep on improving my game.

“We are playing well but not the way I think we can, if we can raise our game to the level we know we can reach then I think we have a very good chance of promotion.

“This year, this league is tough, you can’t walk this league. It is a very tough division, full of good sides and we will have to play well to get out of it.

“That is all we are focusing on for now.”
