Pre-Season Friendly

AFC Fylde travel to Marine in the first pre-season outing of the summer ahead of the new National League campaign.

The Coasters will have a host of new faces on show, with manager Dave Challinor strengthening his ranks with no less than seven signings so far this summer.

Defenders Jordan Tunnicliffe, Zaine Francis-Angol and Josh Ezewele have joined from Kidderminster whilst National League North Goalkeeper of the Year Jay Lynch teamed up with Fylde from Salford City.

Midfielders Lewis Montrose and Henry Jones have joined from Stockport County and Bangor City respectively and striker Jack Muldoon became the seventh new man through the door at Mill Farm following his switch from National League champions Lincoln City last week.

Fellow frontman Danny Rowe, who committed his future to the club with a new two-year deal, will be hoping to pick up where he left off last season after netting an incredible 50 goals as the Coasters lifted the league title.

Marine finished 18th in the Evo-Stik Premier Division last season, avoiding relegation by nine points – their final point of the campaign coming via a last-gasp strike in a thrilling 5-5 draw against Buxton.

Tommy Lawson’s side have been equally busy in the transfer market this summer, adding a further six players to their squad last week including former Everton youth team star Zach Adekoya.

Fylde face a further four friendlies before the 2017-18 season kicks off with three consecutive home games against Rochdale (July 15th), Bolton Wanderers (July 18th) and Morecambe (July 25th) and finally an away trip to Curzon Ashton (July 29th).

Challinor’s side start the new season on Saturday 5th August against Boreham Wood at Mill Farm, before travelling to Chester three days later for the first away game.
