Non-League Day is back, and it’s come as a crucial game awaits two of the National League’s slow starters.

After a good start to Tuesday nights game, the introduction of Mike Fondop quickly changed the game for the worse for Dave Challinor’s side.

Although a late Tyler Forbes goal couldn’t get Fylde back into the game, everyone associated with the club knows how crucial a win against Sutton United can be.

Andy Taylor could in line to make his debut on Saturday, but Montrose, Duxbury and Willoughby look set to miss out.

The Opposition

Name: Sutton United

Form: LDLLW

Nickname: The U’s

Ground: Gander Green Lane

League Position: 19th

Sutton United are another team who are down near the bottom of the table after having a positive season in 2018/19.

With experience all around their squad, their poor run of form and league position is something which has left The U’s scratching their heads.

In charge of the Yellows is new manager and former Eastleigh Assistant Manager Matt Gray. He has been in charge since May 2019 after taking over from Paul Doswell who resigned at the end of the season.

This is Gray’s first manager’s job after previously being assistant manager at both Eastleigh and Aldershot. You could say that new ideas take time to come together at a new club, but both Gray and his players will be hoping to turn their bad form around sooner rather than later.

One To Watch

Harry Beautyman

This weeks one to watch is midfielder, Harry Beautyman.

The ex-Peterborough man signed for Sutton in January 2018 and since then he has gone on to make 54 appearances.

Although he is a midfielder, his six goals in 15 games this season shows he is a player who likes to get forward and get in and amongst the goals.

The Coasters will need to keep him quiet, as the U’s have recorded points on each of the times Beautyman has found the net.

Head-to-Head

This will be the fifth time the two sides have met. Both sides are level with one win in the games between the two sides, with draws on the other occasions.
