Brackley Town vs AFC Fylde

Saturday 2nd April, 2016 (k/o 3pm)

St James Park

National League North

The Coasters will be hoping to continue their fantastic form when they travel to Brackley Town on Saturday.

Dave Challinor’s side are currently unbeaten in the last six National League North outings, having won four and drawn two.

Fylde had a mixed Easter weekend after the abandonment against Bradford Park Avenue was followed up by a sensational 4-0 victory away at Stockport County.

Tom Hannigan opened the scoring at Edgeley Park before a Dion Charles brace and a goal from top scorer Danny Rowe secured a resounding result.

Fylde are now third in the league standings, level on points with second-placed North Ferriby United and 12 points behind leaders Solihull Moors, however the Coasters have two games in hand.

Despite their precarious league position, Brackley Town are enjoying a decent run of form themselves and have won three of their last five matches.

Brackley’s last scheduled match against AFC Telford Utd was postponed and they currently sit just one place outside the drop zone, two points ahead of 20th-placed Lowestoft Town.

However, two days earlier they hit a last-minute winner in a 2-1 victory away to play-off hopefuls Boston United.

Fylde and Brackley met in the reverse fixture back in November and fought out a 2-2 draw in miserable conditions at Kellamergh Park.

Fylde opened the scoring through a sensational strike from Rowe, but found themselves behind just 10 minutes into the second-half.

However, Charles popped up with an equally impressive strike on 56 minutes to earn a share of the spoils (pictured below)

Coasters midfielder Richie Baker returns to the squad on Saturday after serving his one-match ban, but fellow midfielder Bohan Dixon will miss the trip through suspension.
