AFC Fylde vs Bromley

Saturday 9th September, 2017, k/o 3pm

Mill Farm

Vanarama National League

The Coasters are back in action at Mill Farm on Saturday for the visit of Bromley FC.

Fylde will be hoping to get back to winning ways in the National League after suffering defeat last time out at FC Halifax Town.

The Coasters went a goal up at The Shay last weekend through Danny Rowe, but two goals from Fylde’s long-time nemesis Tom Denton turned the game around and subjected Dave Challinor’s side to just their second defeat of the new campaign.

Fylde secured back-to-back victories over Hartlepool United and Barrow the previous weekend and now lie in 17th place in the table, still just six points off the top and two from the play-off places.

Striker Rowe, who became the Coasters all-time top scorer during the victory at Hartlepool, now has three goals for the season, alongside midfielder Henry Jones.

Saturday’s match will be the first ever meeting between the two clubs in any competition.

Bromley are currently 13th in the league with 11 points after eight games with a record of three victories, two draws and three defeats.

They have suffered three defeats on the spin ahead of the weekend, conceding eight goals and scoring just once. Last time out they were beaten 2-0 away at high-flying Wrexham.

Midfielder Josh Rees is Bromley’s top scorer in the league with three goals.

Managed by Neil Smith, Bromley play on a 3G pitch at Hayes Lane and were promoted to the National League as Conference South champions in 2014-15.
