AFC Fylde are back on the road again after the sensational 6-0 victory away at Altrincham on Tuesday night.

The Coasters turned in potentially the performance of the season across the whole league and had the game at the J. Davidson put to bed by half-time following five goals with out reply from Danny Rowe, Bohan Dixon (2), Brendon Daniels and James Hardy.

Andy Bond added a sixth seconds after the restart as Fylde continued their unbeaten start to the new campaign.

The Coasters now trail league leaders Halifax Town by one point with a game in hand on the Yorkshire outfit.

Saturday’s hosts Alfreton have endured a mixed start to the season. They opened their account with a thrilling 4-3 away defeat at the hands of Stockport before thrashing Gainsborough Trinity 4-0 in their first home match.

They couldn’t replicate that form next time out as they went down 1-0 to Curzon Ashton however they enjoyed a morale boosting 3-2 triumph away at Brackley Town on Tuesday evening.

Goals proved no problem for the Coasters earlier in the week and Rowe and Dixon currently lead the way with two strikes each, whilst Thomas Allen and Craig Wesrcarr also have a couple of goals each for the Reds.

The two sides enjoyed a share of the spoils last season with Fylde coming from behind to win 2-1 at the Impact Arena before Alfreton nicked a single goal victory at Kellamergh Park in the return match.

Team news:

Sam Finley serves the final game of his four-match suspension. Bohan Dixon and Josh Langley both suffered knocks in the midweek win at Altrincham, but both are expected to be fit to play.
