AFC Fylde turn their attention away from the National League North for the evening for a cup tie against AFC Darwen.

The Coasters returned to winning ways at the weekend with a convincing 5-0 victory over Stalybridge Celtic after suffering their first defeat of the campaign the previous Saturday.

Striker Danny Rowe was once again the star of the show, bagging his fourth hat-trick of the season, whilst Dan Bradley and Steve Williams also chipped in with a goal each.

Fylde boast a fantastic record in front of goal this season and have already notched 49 goals after just 18 games in all competitions.

Darwen are currently 18th in the Hallmark Security League Premier Division after picking up just three victories from their 20 matches so far.

They have failed to win in any of their last four outings, netting just twice and conceding nine. Overall this season they have scored 20 league goals and conceded 51.

Both the Coasters and Darwen were knocked out at this stage last year by Ashton Athletic and Lancaster City respectively, however Fylde have a proud record in the competition, having lifted the trophy on three occasions (2011, 2013, 2014).

The tie must be decided on the night. If the scores are level at full-time then the match will go straight to a penalty shoot-out to decide a winner.

Team news:

Manager Dave Challinor looks likely to shuffle his pack with several fringe players hoping for a run out. Dom Collins and Caspar Hughes are the only injury concerns for the Coasters.
