Our Matchday Hospitality offering in Churchill’s has received some fantastic feedback over the season and loyal servant Keith Wilding was the latest to enjoy his experience at Mill Farm.

Keith, who has enjoyed a long association with the club in a number of different roles, took in the day from the comfort of Churchill’s alongside friends and family as programme sponsor against Worcester City to celebrate his 60th Birthday and retirement.

The former player, stadium manager and secretary is set to become a season ticket holder for the first time next season and thoroughly enjoyed his experience…

“I invited 18 guests, aged between 25 and 85, to Saturday’s match and it was a first time in Churchill’s for everyone in our party.

All have since contacted us to thank both us and the club for the excellent experience they had. Several of my guests have said they will definitely be coming back for hospitality next season. It was also my first time in hospitality and I can say it exceeded all expectations.

The table set-up was excellent with balloons, match-day programme, betting slip, golden goal slip, T-shirt purchase form and other literature offering next season’s season ticket prices. The meet and greet was very professional and the waitresses and bar staff were excellent.

Food was very good with a vegetarian option and the choices of wine were excellent. All my party enjoyed the atmosphere and most said it exceeded previous experiences elsewhere.

Half-time refreshments went down well and I struggled to get people out for the start of the second half with most of my party missing the second Worcester goal whilst enjoying cheese and biscuits!

Post-match presentations were excellent with everyone getting photos with both players and the trophy. It was nice to have David and Dia, the two people who have built this club, making emotional speeches.

Colin, the assistant manager, loaned me his winner’s medal to have photos taken without me even asking which summed up the team spirit that runs through the club from top to bottom.

After we had finished in Churchill’s, most of my guests carried on the party in Bradleys and all in all the day was a massive success.

Everyone who attended will remember my 60th birthday as a very special day and it was also a massive success for AFC Fylde’s credibility as a ‘go to’ venue for quality match-day hospitality.”
