Kirkham-based food manufacturer Rustlers have extended their partnership with both AFC Fylde and the AFC Fylde Community Foundation.

The extended partnership follows the history made by the club last season  in winning the FA Trophy, and the success of the programmes in the community.

The 2019/20 season will see Rustlers, part of the Kepak group brand, named as AFC Fylde’s Official Food Production Partner, with their well-recognised brand displayed on the club’s sleeve for another year.

“We’re delighted to be working with Rustlers once again,” said Jamie Roberts, Chief Executive.

“As a football club, partnerships like these with local organisations are so important to growth, and ultimately, to making a difference in our communities.”

The strong partnership between AFC Fylde Community Foundation and Rustlers has led to the development and delivery of two ground-breaking programmes.

The first is a new Pan-Disability Community Football Team which has enabled members of the community to take part in a professional training programme and represent the Foundation.

The second provides young people with the opportunity to take part in a potentially life-changing leadership and mentoring programme, providing them with the skillset to lead an independent, healthier lifestyle.

“The funding we receive from Rustlers is invaluable to our organisation, it enables us to run programmes that make a real difference within our community,” said Foundation Director Tom Hutton.

“I’m extremely proud that we will continue to work so closely with such a highly respected company.”

James Grimston, Production Director for Rustlers, has also expressed his delight in continuing what has been a very beneficial partnership so far.

“Since its launch 20 years ago, Rustlers has blazed a trail becoming one of the UK’s leading food brands and is still showing impressive growth.”

“AFC Fylde is a stand-out growth story in the world of football today and we are naturally very excited to link our brand to such a dynamic and fast growing club.”

“We have also done a significant body of work in conjunction with the AFC Fylde community foundation promoting the benefits of a healthy active lifestyle, which is something we are very passionate about.“

“We look forward to supporting what will hopefully be a successful season on the pitch, whilst continuing to do great work together off the pitch for the benefit of the local community.”
