The Coasters can confirm that John Hills and Brett Ormerod will be in the dugout today, helping out in the FA Cup fixture against Peterborough Sports.

John Hills, who represented Blackpool, Sheffield Wednesday and Everton in his playing career, makes a return to AFC Fylde, after joining as a player-coach in the 2010/11 season.

Hills will be aided in the role by former Premier League footballer Brett Ormerod, famed for his time at Blackpool, where he made 215 appearances and scored 61 times.

The duo have taken charge of training during the build-up to the game, and have played a vital part in preparation for today’s fixture.

“I’m really grateful to both John and Brett coming in and helping us this week,” said Chairman David Haythornthwaite.

“Whilst our search for a new manager continues, they are playing a vital part in the transition, starting with a very important game today.”

The FA Cup Returns!
