AFC Fylde is delighted to announce the signing of Danny Rowe on loan from National League side Chesterfield FC, until and inclusive of January 1, 2023.

It’s a deal that sees Danny return for his second spell after an unbelievably successful period from 2014-2020, where he claimed numerous accolades along the way and helped Fylde win the FA Trophy with a stunning free-kick against Leyton Orient at Wembley in 2019.

Some awards that Rowe picked up include the league’s Player of the Year award, the Club’s Player of the Year award, Goal of the Season, Golden Boot and Players’ Player of the Year.

Danny arrives back at Mill Farm as the Coasters’ all-time leading goalscorer and will be looking to add to his National League North tally, of which he holds the record for the number of goals scored in one season, with 47 goals in the league and 50 in all competitions.

Since leaving the Coasters, Danny has featured for the likes of Oldham Athletic and Bradford City before making a move to Chesterfield in 2021 but now returns to the Coasters to the delight of many.

Danny expressed his delight at re-joining the Club after a few years away and said: “It’s great to be back. I just need to play some games and get up to speed quickly, and then kick on further.

“At the point when it was decided that I would go out on loan, Fylde was the only place I wanted to come to.

“There are plenty of reasons for wanting to come back, but the main one is I know everyone involved with the Club, and I enjoyed myself the last time I was here, so it was an easy choice for me.

“However, it’s a fresh start here now for a few months, and I just want to do well and win some games along the way.”

Danny will wear the number nine shirt throughout his loan spell.
