AFC Fylde are pleased to announce the appointment of James French as its new Chief Executive. James who took up his post on Monday 7th July will be responsible for overseeing all matters related to Fylde but most critically the development of the new stadium and facilities at Mill Farm.

David Haythornthwaite Fylde Chairman said:

“The appointment of James French is another sign of our commitment to running this club in the most professional way possible. With our promotion to Conference North and the new stadium and sports complex on its way, strong leadership is required. James’ background impressed us all and we are convinced he will be a great asset to the club.”

James French said:

“It is with great pride that I have taken up the post of Chief Executive for AFC Fylde and I hope to support the team and its supporters throughout the development this coming season and beyond. My background is in working with companies through change, I have joined AFC Fylde from Royal Mail where I worked with staff throughout the privatisation transition supporting them at a pivotal time in Royal Mails history.

“Previous to Royal Mail I have also project managed construction works and the skills I learned there will hopefully enable me to drive forward the Mill Farm development over the coming year.”
