AFC Fylde are delighted to announce the signing of exciting winger Nathan Shaw, who joins from Championship outfit Blackpool FC.

The 20-year-old has put pen to paper on a two-year deal at Mill Farm, with an option for a further year in the Club’s favor.

Shaw – who is our third summer signing following the arrivals of Stephen Dobbie and Bobby Jones – enjoyed a successful loan spell at The Coasters last season, establishing himself as a regular in Jim Bentley’s side, playing 19 times, scoring twice, and assisting numerous others.

Blackpool recalled Shaw from his loan spell at Mill Farm in January 2021, before he joined National League outfit Stockport County on a short-term loan deal.

The youngster progressed through Blackpool’s youth setup and signed his first professional contract in 2019, going on to make three first-team appearances for the Seasiders in all competitions.

On the signing, Jim Bentley told afcfylde.co.uk: “We are delighted to get this over the line. Nathan was a big success for the Club during his loan spell and we were really keen on getting him back in the building.

“He is a player who we believe has great potential and I’m confident that he can fulfil that here. He’s a likable lad, works hard, and is determined to do well.

“This is a very exciting signing for the Football Club and I’m sure our fans will be pleased to see him in an AFC Fylde shirt again this coming season.”
