AFC Fylde Football Club are delighted to announce that winger Nathan Shaw has extended his stay at the club.

The 20-year-old, whose loan deal from Blackpool was due to expire next month, will remain at Mill Farm until the end of the season.

Shaw joined The Coasters from the League-One side in October and has made 19 appearances in all competitions for Jim Bentley’s side this season, scoring two goals.

His performances have caught the eye in recent months – something that Nick Chadwick is excited to see more of.

Speaking to afcfylde.co.uk, Chadwick said: “We are delighted to extend Nathan’s stay and look forward to continuing to work with him.

“Nathan has done excellent and his contribution has been outstanding for a player of his age. He has grasped the opportunity here with us, gaining valuable experience and seamlessly settling into the environment.

“When he arrived, he had completed an excellent pre-season at Blackpool and built up expectations that he has certainly lived up to.

“He’s developed in every facet of his game and has quickly become a massively popular figure within the group.

“We would like to thank Neil Critchley and Blackpool for entrusting us with his development, both as a player and as a person.
