We have been speaking to the unsung heroes behind the scenes at AFC Fylde to find out their highlights of the season, both on and off the pitch.

My moment of the season was…

Comfortably beating Macclesfield Town who were top of the league at the time and went on to win the league.

You could tell early on that we were really up for the game and it was pretty much one-way traffic all afternoon.

It was the moment that made me think we could have a real good go at promotion.

My proudest moment was…

Personally, it was the comments from the co-commentators during our first-ever live TV game here against Barrow. To hear comments like “it’s just like a Premier League pitch” and “it’s immaculate” really meant a lot to me. For the club, it has to be making it to the second round in the FA Cup. To be able to show off what we have here and what we’re trying to achieve on national TV was fantastic.

I’m looking forward to…

Obviously the new season. We’ve seen what this league is about and we have no one to fear anymore because we’ve played the so called ‘big teams’ off the park at home. Hopefully we have the confidence now to take this forward and possibly push on further still from last season.
