AFC Fylde ended their goal drought as they put three past Aldershot Town in a convincing home win.
The Coasters dominated the match with first-half goals from Ryan Croasdale and Serhat Tasmedir giving them a 2-0 lead at the break. The performance was rounded off by Joe Cardle who put the Fylde Coast side 3-0 up on the 62nd minute.
Fylde started the game brightly. in the 7th minute, Antigua and Barbuda international Francis-Angol chipped in a lovely ball to Serhat Tasdemir whose free header was cleared off the line by Aldershot defender Luke Fowler.
Fylde continued to dominate with left-back Francis-Angol involved once again, this time he got past Luke Howell and hit a low cross which somehow missed everyone.
Aldershot struggled to get into the game, it wasn’t until the 28th minute when they mustered there first shot at goal. Agyepong picked up the ball in space 25 yards out and let fly with a low effort just wide of Jay Lynch’s right post.
On the 39th minute Joe Cardle whipped in a corner finding defender Neill Byrne, the Irishman nodded the ball into the path of Danny Rowe whose shot was cleared off the line and set the Shots away on a counter attack. The ball found its way to Aldershot’s captain Jake Gallagher who forced Jay Lynch into his first and only save of the game.
As the first half whistle approached Serhat Tasdemir chipped in a cross which was cleared straight into the path of Ryan Croasdale. The midfielder smashed the ball into the back of the net from 10 yards out. His first goal for AFC Fylde since his summer move from Kidderminster Harriers.
Minutes later Joe Cardle found space down the left and put in a brilliant ball straight to the head of the youngster Serhat Tasedmir who nodded the ball home from 6 yards out to make it 2-0 at the break.
As the second half progressed AFC Fylde looked like the only winners. On the 62nd minute, they made it 3-0. Danny Rowe put in an inch-perfect cross to pick out Joe Cardle at the far post, the former Dunfermline Athletic midfielder never looked like missing as he slotted home.
The third goal seemed to deflate Aldershot, who have still yet to pick up a point on the road this season.
It was the Coasters again who looked like the more likely scorers, this time Neill Byrne almost made it 4-0 as he got onto the end of a drilled ball into the box from Danny Philliskirk
Fylde never looked like conceding as Aldershot failed to register a single shot throughout the second half.
In the final minutes, the Coasters almost increased the scoreline as Danny Rowe had his effort just tipped over the bar by Aldershot goalkeeper George Legg.
Francis-Angol almost made it 4-0 as the Coasters finished the game in style, his right-footed shot was well saved by Legg who parried the ball out for a corner.
