The Coasters continue their Vanarama Conference North season with an away trip to Stockport County tomorrow night – a first trip to Edgeley Park to face The Hatters in league action.

A first win of this month was achieved on Saturday as we saw off Hednesford Town in the FA Trophy 3rd QR and we’ll be hoping we can replicate that winning feeling again tomorrow night against a strong Stockport County side – a side that The Coasters faced just over a week ago in a 0-0 draw at Kellamergh Park.

This game was originally supposed to take place earlier in the season, but thanks to a Lancs FA game coinciding with the original game against Stockport, we find ourselves facing The Hatters in two successive league games.

As previously mentioned, the first of the two encounters finished goalless but it was certainly one of the more entertaining 0-0 draw’s you’re likely to see, as both teams played their part in an open game of football.

Going into the game, The Coasters sit 4th in the league table on 33 points while Stockport sit 7th on 30 points. It’s a similar situation to the game just over a week ago, where a win for The Hatters would see them move level on points with Fylde but a win for Fylde could catapult The Coasters back up the table.

County have won all of their last seven league games at Edgeley Park which is mightily impressive. On their way to achieving this, they’ve scored 25 and kept 4 clean sheets as well so Tuesday night’s game will certainly prove to be a tough one for The Coasters to win. However, after getting back to winning ways on Saturday against Hednesford in the FA Trophy, Fylde go into the game full of confidence. Stockport also made it through to the FA Trophy 1st Round after defeating Colwyn Bay at home.

After this game, The Coasters have three consecutive home games to look forward to and while Edgeley Park isn’t that far away from the Fylde coast, we’ll be looking to make full use of our attacking abilities and plan for another impressive Coasters victory.
