The Coasters go into their F.A. Cup Fourth Qualifying Round tie away at Kings Lynn on a run of  five successive wins in all competitions and an even more impressive run of nine straight league wins.

The great run of form continues for Fylde, who have now won 11 of their last 12 games in all competitions and currently top of the league table, five points clear of second placed Barrow and seven clear of local rivals Chorley after a 2-1 victory over Gainsborough Trinity last Saturday.

Fylde have got to this stage of the F.A. Cup after defeating Buxton in the Third Qualifying Round two weeks ago, 1-0 in a hard fought affair at Kellamergh Park.

Previous to that, The Coasters saw off Bradford Park Avenue in round two of qualifying in the replay, and Fylde will fancy their chances on Saturday when they travel to a Kings Lynn side who are one division below The Coasters.

Kings Lynn have actually fared very well so far this season as they sit in fifth position in the Evo Stik Northern Premier League having won seven out of their opening nine home games this season. One reason for this could be because it’s a very long trip for most northern based teams, but Fylde have won their last four away league games so travel shouldn’t be too much of a problem.

The Linnets have  won six out of their last seven games in all competitions, including F.A. Cup wins over Lancaster City in the last round, 3-2 and Hednesford Town the round before, 1-0.

They won in the first qualifying round 7-0 against Boston Town, so they are definitely side that can cause problems. Unlike Fylde, they’ve had some recent midweek games but they’ve won them all which proves that The Coasters cannot take this game for granted even though they are playing against lower level opposition.
