AFC Fylde play host to Harrogate Town this Saturday in the Vanarama Conference North looking to get back to winning ways after two successive league defeats at the hands of Chorley and Guiseley.

Despite it being Valentines Day on Saturday, there won’t be much love on the pitch as The Coasters search for that elusive victory that could start another winning run on their quest for promotion.

In truth, Fylde haven’t had the rub of the green of late and it’s now three defeats in their last four games and although they’ll be looking for that win, Harrogate certainly won’t be pushovers.

Harrogate won their last away league game at Solihull Moors which is notorious for being a tough place to go. However, they’ve also only won two out of their last 10 league games, with the other victory other than Solihull being at home to Boston United.

Despite The Coasters poor form of late they still sit in second position in the table, six points ahead of third placed Tamworth as well as having three games in hand.

More importantly, the Coasters have two games in hand over top of the table Barrow and are just two points behind the league leaders before this weekend’s fixtures, so a win for Fylde could see them go back to the top of the league if they win and Barrow fail to win.

Town sit 14th in the league table at present having won nine of their 29 games this season, drawing seven and losing 13. They are the third lowest scorers in the league with just 29 goals, while The Coasters are second top goal scorers in the league with 57.

With important games coming up throughout February, it is important for The Coasters that they aim to not share the love – or points – with Harrogate this Saturday. This will be the first meeting between the two sides in league action

The match will kick off at 3pm. Your support has been exceptional so far this season and we’d love to see it continue on Saturday by coming along to support the lads once again.

Admittance is just £10 for adults, £7 for concessions and FREE to all U16’s and Armed Forces Personnel.

The FREE shuttle bus will be in operation throughout the afternoon so there is no excuse not to come along and cheer on The Coasters.
