Second placed AFC Fylde host thirteenth placed Gloucester City at Kellamergh Park this Saturday looking to win the league title in the final league game of the season.

It proves to be a tough task, but if The Coasters are to win the Conference North league title this season, they have to beat Gloucester and hope that Barrow don’t win their game away at Lowestoft Town.

With just two points separating the top two, it has come down to the final game of the season and as long as The Coasters win, they are in with a chance of winning the league.

April has been a successful month for Fylde who have picked up ten points from a possible twelve, with impressive wins against Colwyn Bay and Harrogate Town as well as a late victory over Bradford Park Avenue.

The Coasters also picked up a point at home to Solihull Moors controversially, as three points should have been picked up but a handball incident meant a Solihull penalty denied all three points for Fylde which would have seen them go top and still be top going into this weekends fixtures.

Gloucester have won five of their last six games in the league, and are unbeaten in seven, so this match won’t just be a turn up and win for Fylde by any stretch of the imagination.

Impressive victories against the likes of Solihull, Chorley and Stockport County have seen Gloucester move out of relegation trouble and they could still be in with a chance of finishing in the top half of the league table.

They are certainly one of the form teams in the division going into the final part of the season, and they will want to finish on a high as much as AFC Fylde want to win the league.

The previous match between these two sides ended 2-0 to The Coasters at Cheltenham Town’s Whaddon Road.

Admittance to this match is just £10 for adults, £7 for concessions and FREE to all U16’s and Armed Forces Personnel.

The match will kick off at 3PM.

Your support has been exceptional so far this season and we’d love to see it continue on Saturday by coming along to support the lads once again.

SEE YOU THERE!
