AFC Fylde’s next game is a home fixture against FC United of Manchester tomorrow evening (Tuesday) as The Coasters aim to cement their place in the top five with a sixth win of the season (19:45 Kick Off).

The Coasters have had a solid start to the season and currently sit third in the league table on seventeen points from their first nine games.

Top scorer Dion Charles added to his goal scoring collection with the opener in the most recent game, a 2-2 home draw with Tamworth on Saturday. Matt Blinkhorn added his second goal in as many games as Fylde picked up a point despite going ahead twice in the game. Blinkhorn scored his first goal for the club in over sixteen months in the 3-1 victory over Gloucester City at the beginning of the month and now has two goals in his previous two games.

Fylde have won three of their last five games against the likes of Lowestoft, Curzon Ashton and Gloucester, while FCUM have defeated Brackley, Hednesford, Lowestoft and Corby in their previous five matches. The Reds have former Coasters midfielder Sean Cooke and Kirkham & Wesham FA Vase final hero Matt Walwyn is also amongst their ranks.

This is FC United’s first season in the National League North after they won promotion from the Evo-Stik Premier League at the end of last season. The Reds have so far been successful, as they sit eighth in the league table on fourteen points from their first nine games. A win in tomorrow evening’s game against The Coasters would see FC United overtake Fylde in the league standings. A win for Fylde could see them overtake Harrogate town who sit second.

The previous meeting between these two sides was a 3-1 victory for FC United in the FA Trophy back in January this year, while the previous league meeting between the two sides saw FC United win again, this time 2-0 at Kellamergh Park in December 2013. The last time The Coasters defeated The Reds was in October 2012 in the NPL.

There will be no free bus to or from the match. The match will not be segregated.
