The Coasters go into their Vanarama Conference North game at Boston United on a run of  six successive wins in all competitions and an even more impressive run of nine straight league wins.

The great run of form continues for Fylde, who have now won 13 of their last 14 games in all competitions and currently top of the league table, two points clear of Barrow and four points clear of Solihull, Chorley and Oxford City.

In their last match, The Coasters traveled to King’s Lynn in the FA Cup Fourth Qualifying Round and defeated their lower league opponents 4-3 to set up a First Round tie away at League Two Plymouth Argyle.

The last league game for Fylde was a 2-1 home win against Gainsborough Trinity and previous league wins in October included Tamworth and North Ferriby United.

Not only are The Coasters top of the league table, they top the scoring charts, have conceded the fewest goals and have the largest positive goal difference.

They will look to carry on their fantastic form against a Boston United side who sit ninth in the league table, having won 21 points from their opening 14 games this season, winning six and losing five.

Boston’s previous results include a 2-1 home defeat to Solihull Moors last Saturday with defeats to Hednesford Town in the league and Leek Town in the FA cup too. Sandwiched between the Leek Town loss and the Solihull Moors defeat was a 3-1 home victory over Hyde.

Half of their wins have come at home, but they have only won three of their eight home games so far.

These two sides have never met before in any competition so it will be a first trip down to York Street for many of the Fylde faithful this weekend. Boston were a Football League side between 2002 and 2007 and have a very different background than The Coasters, but Fylde currently sit in a higher position than their opponents this weekend for the first year ever.
