AFC Fylde play host to Boston United this Tuesday night in the Vanarama Conference North looking to get back to winning ways after three successive league defeats.

A win for The Coasters in this game would see them go back to the top of the league table after Barrow also lost on Saturday, and as this game is one of Fylde’s games in hand, it’s an ideal opportunity to win and go back to first place.

Saturday’s 2-1 home defeat to Harrogate was unfortunate as Harrogate took a 2-0 lead into half time, and although Danny Rowe scored with 10 minutes remaining in that game, Fylde couldn’t find the equalizer they needed.

In truth, Fylde haven’t had the rub of the green of late and it’s now four defeats in a row in all competitions for The Coasters. Tomorrow night however they will be looking to get back to winning ways after the recent dip in form.

Despite The Coasters poor form of late they still sit in second position in the table, five points ahead of third placed Tamworth as well as having three games in hand.

More importantly, the Coasters have two games in hand over top of the table Barrow and are just two points behind the league leaders, so a win for Fylde on Tuesday night will see them go back to the top of the Conference North league table.

Boston however have been in good form in 2015 so far, losing just one of their seven games this calendar year which was also a 2-1 defeat to Harrogate Town, so both Fylde and Boston have something in common.

Boston have scored five goals in three separate games this calendar year which is a worry for The Coasters although all three of those came at Boston’s Jakemans Stadium, with the most recent being the 5-0 demolition of Bradford Park Avenue on Saturday.

The previous result between these two teams this season ended 3-1 to Boston at the start of November, with Carl Piergianni scoring a brace of headers. Dayle Southwell is Boston’s top scorer this season with 18 league goals to his name, the fourth highest in the division.

The match will kick off at 7:45pm.
