The Coasters face Midland League side Coleshill Town in the FA Cup 3rd Qualifying Round this Saturday at Kellamergh Park (3pm).

Fylde go into the game as heavy favourites against a Coleshill side that ply their trade three tiers below in the Midland League, but have beaten higher tier opposition several times to get this far.

Coleshill started their FA Cup journey in mid August with a huge 11-0 win over Ellesmere Rangers, before a 2-1 win at home to Stafford Rangers. A replay win over Newcastle Town saw them progress to the Second Qualifying Round where they were drawn against Northern Premier League side Stamford. The game was played at Tamworth’s Lamb Ground and saw a shock win for Coleshill with goals from Luke Barlone and Simeon Colbourne condemning Stamford to defeat and setting up today’s clash between the two sides.

This is the Coasters’ second FA Cup match this season with their first a tense 1-0 victory at home to Stockport County. Fylde gained revenge on the Hatters for their last minute victory in the league only a few weeks before as Matty
Hughes’ 33rd minute goal sent the Coasters through and send Stockport out of the cup at the earliest stage in their history.

In terms of injuries Josh Langley is the only Coasters player to definitely miss out as his full recovery from injury is still a couple of weeks away. Adam Sumner and Dom Collins recently featured in the Lancashire FA Challenge Trophy win over Radcliffe Borough and could feature in order to regain full match fitness.
