Schoolchildren all over Fylde will be getting a big surprise when Coasters top scorer Danny Rowe makes an appearance at their next PE lesson!

After signing a new deal with the club, Danny will be continuing his work with the AFC Fylde Community Foundation, encouraging children to get active in the community and sharing his footballing skills with lucky youngsters.

During his guest appearances Danny, who originally signed for the club in 2014, will back up the Foundation’s key messages by sharing his footballing talents and speaking about his playing experiences.

Tom Hutton, director of community development at the Foundation, said: “Danny is such a hero to so many children in the area and we can’t wait to see their faces when he turns up at the schools. We work really hard to encourage young people to make healthy and positive choices, so we really appreciate having somebody like Danny supporting us.

“Danny is a great example of what’s possible if you stay fit and healthy while focusing on your dreams, so he really brings our message to life. Even if young people don’t necessarily want to become footballers, we’re sure they’ll find Danny’s hard work and dedication inspiring – and will relish the opportunity to have a kick-about with him!

“We can’t wait to continue our work with Danny and, of course, wish him all the best with the club over the next two-and-a-half-years.”
