Winger Jonny Smith was delighted that his seventh goal of the season helped secure three points last time out against FC Halifax Town.
Smith, on loan from Bristol City, inadvertently fired home the opener when his cross from the left nestled into the bottom corner and the 20-year-old is now keen to keep up the pace with the play-off places.
“I was delighted with the win and it was great to get another goal too.
“It was probably a bit lucky but I’ll definitely take it because it was vital to get the three points. In all honesty my goal was a cross but if they go straight in then it’s happy days.
“We want to finish in the play-offs, that’s the aim and has been for a while now this season. Every point matters now and that was massive.
“I came here to get experience and I’ve played a lot of football so I’m grateful to the gaffer for that.
“Hopefully I can continue to do that until the end of the season and chip in with a few more assists and goals.”
