Young defender Jack Byrne has been loaned out to Barnoldswick Town FC with the aim of gaining valuable first-team experience.
The 19-year-old has joined the North-West Counties Premier Division outfit for an initial month, and will be eligible to feature in tonight’s league fixture at Burscough FC.
Coasters boss Jim Bentley said: ” Jack was affected more than anyone by the Covid situation and missed a lot of football. Barnoldswick Town have offered him the opportunity to go out and get games, which is perfect for his development at this stage.
“Jack’s a good honest lad, who works hard every day and it’s important that he gets minutes on the pitch. I’m sure he will be a success during his loan spell.”
Everybody at AFC Fylde would like to wish Jack the very best of luck during his time with Barnoldswick Town.
