AFC Fylde can confirm that Harvey Gregson has extended his loan spell with Redditch United, and Jack Byrne has moved out to Widnes FC on loan.

Harvey, who has been enjoying a spell at Redditch, extends his loan until the end of the season, whilst Jack Byrne completes a move to Widnes until the end of the season.

Following the loan switches, Director of Football Chris Beech said: “Harvey Gregson has extended his loan at Redditch until the end of the season, with a 24-hour recall option in place, which is excellent news for Harvey and his personal development.

“He will continue to train with our first team while having weekly focus and regular exposure to senior football at Redditch. Harvey will be in a better place at AFC Fylde for this experience, and if required at short notice, game ready while building a solid foundation.

“Jack Byrne, like Harvey, has excellent character and personality, which is a credit to both of our young players. Jack has found opportunities harder to come by in our current squad.

“Following conversation, it was agreed he would benefit greatly from playing regular first-team football, having missed most of the season. Hopefully, he can help Widnes move away from the bottom of the table and enjoy playing regularly, putting him back on the football map for future opportunities.”

We would like to wish both players the best of luck for the rest of the season.
