AFC Fylde are delighted to announce that the construction of the Education Centre site at Mill Farm is gathering pace.

The entire site, which includes the impressive new home of the AFC Fylde Community Foundation, six 7-a-side football pitches, an 11-a-side pitch and a full size hockey pitch, is nearing completion with an expected opening of late Autumn.

The steelwork frame of the Education Centre is now complete with cladding due to start imminently.

The Centre will include four changing rooms, a breakout cafe, an independent IT learning suite and four state-of-the-art classrooms kitted out with interactive TVs.

The new building will also be the new base for the foundation with office space and a boardroom.

Director of the AFC Fylde Community Foundation, Tom Hutton, said: “The new Education Centre will be at the very heart of the community.

“There is no other facility like this in the area. We aren’t doing this by half measures and it really will be state-of-the-art.

“Our focus has long been supporting the local community and this demonstrates our commitment to the cause.

“The builders are working at a fast pace and we are all extremely excited to open the doors in the near future.”
