After weeks of hard work, the celebrations are about to begin!

AFC Fylde Community Foundation have been working closely with Cuadrilla and Centrica to ensure its innovative ‘Train Like a Pro’ programme has been running throughout the summer and now a special event has been organised to mark the success.

The Foundation have invited more than 70 young participants who have benefited from the ground-breaking sessions to Mill Farm on Monday 28thAugust for an official ‘Train Like A Pro’ summer celebration during the home fixture against Barrow FC.

The children, who have all enjoyed the unique ‘Train Like a Pro’ programme, will be treated to a full VIP experience at Mill Farm. Their evening will include a full training session on the pitch, pre-game; the opportunity to serve as official match ball boys; a half-time team photo on the pitch; and, providing a once-in-a-lifetime, unforgettable experience, they will create a guard of honour to welcome out the players during AFC Fylde’s first live TV game.

Foundation Director Tom Hutton said he will be delighted to once again welcome all of the ‘Train Like a Pro’ participants back to Mill Farm for the celebration. He said: “Working closely with Cuadrilla and Centrica we have been able to offer a lot of local children a fantastic football opportunity this summer. I think to give them this final lasting memory of their time with us and enable them to be involved in a match day experience is a very special end to a very successful summer. It’s a great way to end and it’s something me and my team are all really excited to take part in!”
