AFC Fylde Community Foundation has celebrated a hugely successful 2018 by hosting its first end-of-year achievement awards.

Each week, through the dedication shown by the Foundation’s 30-strong team, hundreds of people throughout the Fylde are given the opportunity to take part in life-changing opportunities.

These address issues such as mental health, general rehabilitation, sports physical activity and community education.

With so many positive outcomes achieved over the past 12 months, the Foundation decided to recognise the work of the team that delivers the programmes in the community.

The individual winners of the Foundation’s awards were recognised for consistently going above and beyond by showing an incredible commitment and desire for the Foundation to succeed in its delivery and presence throughout the wider Fylde community.

During the awards evening, Foundation Director Tom Hutton addressed the full team, highlighting the efforts of the winners and emphasizing that their devotion and hard work had not gone unnoticed.

He announced that the first winner of the AFC Fylde Community Foundation Awards were:

Employee Of The Year: Linus Welsh

Community Club Person Of The Year: Lloyd Paton

Rising Star: Rory Monaghan

Tom Hutton said he was incredibly proud of the work of his team and added:  “2018 has been a hugely successful year for the Foundation.

“Every member of our team has worked incredibly hard and shown a great deal of desire to achieve the outcomes we aspire towards.

“The three individual award winners have demonstrated outstanding passion for the organisation and are constantly going above and beyond in their performance.

The organisation moves at an incredible pace and I’m hoping these awards show our team and the individuals that devotion and commitment do not go unnoticed”.
