The AFC Fylde Community Foundation are stepping out in a new direction.

They have recruited a new full-time dance co-ordinator to the ever-growing team … local dance teacher Charlotte Anderson.

Charlotte has extensive experience in the industry and holds a Level 4 Diploma in teaching dance, which is nationally recognized by the International Dance Teachers Assosciation (IDTA).

As Dance Development Officer, Charlotte will be visiting schools and nurseries across the Fylde Coast as well as handling all dance related programmes at the Foundation. She will also be seeking new opportunities to set up and run innovative sessions in the community.

Charlotte’s first project as part of her exciting new role was the recently delivered AFC Fylde Arts Academy which was a huge success throughout the October half-term.

All the children who attended were delighted with the academy and eager to attend the dance programme on a more permenant basis throughout all school half terms.

Charlotte said: “I’m over the moon to have joined the AFC Fylde Community Foundation. The work they are carrying out around the Fylde Coast is brilliant and to be able to get on board and run the dance programmes is an unbelievable opportunity for me and something I’m extremely excited to get started on.”
