Whet your appetite for the mammoth clash with our selection of stats…

– The match will be the first ever competitive meeting between the clubs.

– The Coasters are in the second round of the FA Cup for the first time after beating Kidderminster Harriers 4-2.

– Wigan are through after a 2-1 first round victory over Crawley Town.

– Wigan lifted the FA Cup in May 2013 after Ben Watson’s 91st minute header secured a shock victory over Manchester City at Wembley.

– The Latics – managed by Paul Cook – are second in League One, just one point behind table-toppers Shrewsbury Town after 16 games.

– 63 three league places currently separate Wigan and Fylde.

– Last night’s draw provides the biggest gap between previous best FA Cup runs of the Round – First Round (AFC Fylde) v Winners (Wigan).

– Just 30 miles separate the two clubs in the North West.

– When Wigan won the FA Cup in 2013 they were a Premier League club. Fylde were at Step 7 in the Northern Premier League and over 120 places separated the clubs at the end of that season.

– Coasters full-back Luke Burke is currently on loan from Wigan, whilst club captain Josh Langley began his career with the Latics.

– The tie will be played between December 1-4 with the winning club receiving £27,000 from the FA’s prize fund.
