Hat-trick hero Danny Rowe was on cloud nine after reaching the final qualifying round of the FA Cup following the sensational victory over Coleshill Town on Saturday.

Man-of-the-match Rowe took the plaudits with three superb goals, but insists that every one of his team-mates played their part in the 9-0 win.

“I’ve been involved in games before against teams lower down the ladder, but never one quite like that!” said Rowe.

“We killed the game off very early against a team that, in the end, were there for the taking.

“We were three goals up inside the first 15 minutes, so after that they were just trying to keep the scoreline respectable, but we were just too good for them.

“I was very pleased with my own performance and it was great to get a hat-trick, but I think everyone did well really. It was a real team performance.”

Fylde are now just 90 minutes away from a third FA Cup first round proper appearance in four years and Rowe believes his side have what it takes to progress.

“We did it last year and only narrowly lost out to Plymouth,” added Rowe. “We are more than capable of reaching that stage again this time around.

“Promotion is our main goal this season, but there is nothing to say we can’t do well in both competitions. We don’t fear any teams, so we will go into the game full of confidence and hopefully progress.”

The Coasters host Barrow AFC in the FA Cup Fourth Qualifying Round on Saturday 24th October at Kellamergh Park. Tickets are priced at just £10 adults, £7 concessions and £3 under-16s.
