AFC Fylde can confirm that Dan Pike has returned to Blackburn Rovers following the expiry of his one-month loan deal.

Pike also suffered an injury that will keep him out for a short period of time, and he has now returned to Rovers to begin treatment.

The right-back made four appearances for the Coasters during his time at Mill Farm, featuring twice in both the FA Cup and National League North, with his last appearance coming in our 2-1 win over Kidderminster Harriers.

After Saturday’s game, Jim Bentley said: “His loan is up, so it would be wrong for us to take him whilst he is injured. Dan will go and get his treatment, and we will see how he gets on.

“He’s done really well for us. He had some good performances during his time here, and he was good around the Club. Dan fitted in with the squad really well, and it will certainly be one that we will monitor over the coming weeks, and we could see him play a part again this season.”

We would like to wish Dan all the best during his recovery.
