AFC Fylde Community Foundation was delighted to welcome the National League Trust to Saturday’s Vanarama National League fixture against Dorking Wanderers.

Televised in front of the TNT Sports cameras, representatives from the Vanarama National League saw first-hand the impact that the Foundation has on our local community.

Two local junior clubs, Kirkham JFC and South Shore JFC, were treated to a day to remember at the home of AFC Fylde.

The youngsters met Coasters’ captain Alex Whitmore and club mascot Syd the Seagull as they were handed certificates and a goody bag at Fylde Sports and Education Centre.

Ahead of kick-off, both Kirkham JFC and South Shore JFC led AFC Fylde and Dorking out onto the pitch and took part in the pre-match handshake.

At half-time, they were given the fantastic opportunity to take penalties against Syd the Seagull on the same pitch, where so many AFC Fylde favourites have created memorable moments over the course of the last few seasons.

The National League Trust supports community programmes at clubs who are members of the three divisions of the National League.

This support comes in the form of grant aid and development advice. Their aim is to encourage every National League club to become involved in its community.

As a Foundation, we are proud to be working alongside the National Trust to support our programmes within the local community.
