AFC Fylde is delighted to announce the signing of striker Bartosz Cybulski on loan from Sky Bet League One side Derby County until the end of the season.

Arriving through the door as the Coasters’ latest signing, Cybulski bolsters the squad even further ahead of a crucial National League North run-in.

The towering striker has been at Derby County since Under 9s level and signed on as a first-year scholar ahead of the 2019/20 campaign.

Cybulski made 14 appearances for the Under-18s during his first season, scoring five goals and claiming one assist. He also appeared for the Under 19s on one occasion in their UEFA Youth League campaign.

In 2021, the 20-year-old joined Derby’s U23s and netted four goals in Premier League 2 – Division 1 in 18 appearances and has also been called up to the Poland national side’s youth teams on a handful of occasions.

Cybulski made his senior bow in February 2022 against Peterborough United as a late substitute, with his first start for the Rams coming towards the end of the campaign against Bristol City. He later joined Solihull Moors on a one-month loan deal in December.

Following the addition of Bartosz, Director of Football Chris Beech said: “I would like to thank Richie Barker (Assistant Manager) and Clare Morris (Club Secretary) at Derby County for their assistance and speed throughout the process of this deal.

“I’m confident that the culture and environment we are creating here at AFC Fylde, whilst continuing to evolve, will provide a footballing platform for Bartosz to flourish in.

“Bartosz has broken into the Derby County first team, played for Poland U19 and recently experienced National League Football with Solihull Moors, scoring three goals in 11 appearances.

“Along with our current squad, I wish Bartosz well, and I’m sure our supporters will get right behind him in our final 11 games.”

Bartosz also added: “I’m happy to be here at the Club. I had a few offers from teams in the National League, but when I heard that Fylde were in for me, I couldn’t say no.

“Especially when I saw where the Club was in the league and the facilities here, I couldn’t say no, and I will do my best to help the team win the league.”

Bartosz will wear the number 19 shirt throughout his loan spell.

Welcome to AFC Fylde, Bartosz!
